Historic Bristol Day is the signature celebration of Bristol Borough’s rich heritage, vibrant community, and enduring pride. For five decades, this cherished event has welcomed thousands of visitors to our historic riverfront town to experience the architecture, culture, and spirit that make Bristol so special.

Now celebrating its 50th Anniversary, Historic Bristol Day honors both the founding of Bristol in 1681 and fifty years of dedicated volunteers, homeowners, sponsors, and community partners who have sustained this remarkable tradition. What began as a preservation effort has grown into one of the region’s most anticipated fall events.

Each year, guests enjoy exclusive tours of private historic homes, live entertainment, artisan vendors, local shopping, and a wide variety of food offerings throughout the Borough. The highlight of the day remains the opportunity to step inside beautifully preserved homes and experience the craftsmanship and stories that define Bristol’s past and present.

As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we reflect on the generations of residents who have invested their time and passion into preserving our town’s character. Historic Bristol Day stands as a testament to community pride, volunteer spirit, and a shared commitment to honoring the history that continues to shape Bristol Borough’s future.

Thank You for an Incredible 50th Historic Bristol Day!

What an amazing celebration! Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 50th anniversary of Historic Bristol Day and helped make this milestone so memorable.

From the magnificent Gazela Primeiro along our waterfront to the beautiful 12-home tour, petting zoo, entertainment, food, crafts, and family activities, it was a wonderful day celebrating everything that makes Bristol special.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the homeowners who graciously opened their beautiful homes; our local businesses, food and craft vendors, entertainers, and community organizations; and the elected officials who honored our anniversary with proclamations and citations.

We are especially grateful to Bristol Borough, the Bristol Borough School District, the Grundy Foundation, Truist Bank, St. Mark, Calvary Baptist Church, the Bristol Borough Police Department, and Fire Police for their generous support and cooperation. Thank you also to the residents of Radcliffe and Mulberry Streets for their patience and understanding.

Most importantly, thank you to our dedicated committee members and volunteers, whose countless hours of hard work make this beloved tradition possible year after year.

For 50 years, Historic Bristol Day has been about more than celebrating our history. It's about celebrating the people who make Bristol such a special place.
